Today was one of the hardest days for me so far since we arrived in Taiwan. We went to the embassy office today and ended up not having the right forms which seem to be the norm. I swear, every time we go to do something we have to go back at least 2 times to get it done! My school has not been very informative because they do not bring many foreign teachers over here since they only have four English teachers so they are not very knowledgable about the whole process. It has been kind of frustrating but at the same time understandable. Taking up your whole morning to go get something done and then not be able to get it done is frustrating as well. I kind of had a little break down and started missing my family and the comforts of home. I am usually not much of an emotional person but I was upset when I left for work today. Chris was amazing and comforting to me which helped even thought I felt like I wanted to go home today.
Once I got to work, my kids started flowing in and once they started calling for "teacher lacey" in their little accents it melted my heart and things started to get a little better. I now have all the correct forms and documents and the day ended up going smoothly. Now I am back to feeling happy in our new home and cannot WAIT to get our residency so we can finally get a scooter!!! We need our residency to transfer the title of the scooter over to our name. That will make my 15 minute commute bus ride a 5 minute scooter ride to work which will be amazing. My husband was amazing today but I miss SO SO BAD, my family. I can't imagine what 6 months in will feel like but I guess we will deal with that as it comes. :)
